Add a Custom Service Key

In the ENS Manager app, there are default common services. For instance, com.github is the service key for a record that would contain a GitHub username. This field already exists in the ENS Manager app. What if you want to add your key-value pair? Let’s use the example of youtube.com.

Click Add/Edit Record

app.ens.domains

Use the drop-down and select “text” for the type of key we will be adding for YouTube.

app.ens.domains

Since YouTube is a service, we will create a service key. Service keys are in the reverse dot format. Therefore, in the key field type: com.youtube and click: create com.youtube.

app.ens.domains

Next, input your YouTube.com username or channel and click “Save”. This will close the record editor, but there is still one more step!

app.ens.domains

The final step is to confirm the transaction. Scroll down until you see “Confirm”.

app.ens.domains

Now a record for YouTube.com will exist under your ENS name! There is no limit to the amount or types of records you can use.
